Broward’s three PUBLIC and reasonably priced technical colleges have 5 campuses throughout Broward County and are state-of-the-art, fully accredited, public institutions training the future workforce of the tri-county area.  Their programs provide hands-on training by licensed certified instructors. Many of the programs provide a "Career In A Year," or less!

If you are the type of student who wants to learn only what is relevant to your future career, you may be an excellent match for one of Broward's public technical colleges! Technical colleges offer short-term, hands-on training for careers that are in-demand in the South Florida jobs market! Most of the programs are one year or less!

What programs do the technical colleges offer?

Broward's public technical colleges offer a wide variety of workforce development programs in the area of Adult Education, Automotive, Building Trades, Business, Child Care, Commercial Vehicle Driving, Communication Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Fire Science, Marine Technology, Health Science, Industrial Technology, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Public Service, Public Works and Transportation Technology.  Their programs are offered on a full-time or part-time schedule and they offer day, evening, online or Saturday classes.

 

Who may attend?

Enrollment is open to students who have the desire to obtain a quality education in the technical areas.  Students with special needs are accommodated through their Exceptional Education Specialists. 

 

Broward's technical colleges also provide opportunities for high school students as Career Dual enrolled students.  Non-U.S. resident students may apply as International students with the correct documentation as required by the Department of Homeland Security. How can you enroll?

It's easy to enroll at one of Broward's Technical Colleges!
1. Choose your school

2. Call and make an appointment to meet with one of their advisors. They will help walk you through the steps of placing you in a program, go over any special needs you may have, financial aid and our registration procedures.

3. Get registered! Once you’ve followed through with your advising, it’s time to get registered, which is last step in the first step towards your new career and new life.
